Unlicensed Medicare Part D Providers in Florida

The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services* (CMS) has approved 31 entities to sell Medicare Part D plans in Florida.  The following eight companies are approved by CMS but are NOT licensed in Florida:

1.                  Silverscript Insurance Company

2.                  Rx America LLC

3.                  Memberhealth, Inc.

4.                  Health Spring of AL

5.                  Elder Health Insurance Company

6.                  Envision Rx Plus, Inc.

7.                  Express Scripts Insurance Company

8.                  NMHC Group Solutions Insurance, Inc.

Since the companies are not licensed to operate in Florida, they do not file policy forms, rates, or financial reports with the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation and they are not members of the Florida Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association (FLHIGA). No coverage is afforded by FLHIGA in the event of impairment or insolvency of the entity.
